We recently had a new kitchen fitted but when the fitter re-did the pipes he removed a "Hydro Flow Scale Inhibitor" (assume from the cold pipe). About a month later we have had a loss of hot water from our Saunier Duval Combi boiler - the central heating is working fine, the water temp is fine - until the hot water is turned on.
Is the removal of the scale inhibitor to blame for this problem or is it just coincidence?

Oh yeah - and if it is purely coincidence can anyone suggest what the problem maybe and how it can be solved?
