Lost Freeview and can't retune

Hi,
I'm trying to re-tune for the switchover but when I press MENU on the remote to be able to scan for channels, the menu isn't coming up. Is this just a huge flaw with the Freeview box/remote?
Anyone else having this problem or managed to solve it?

You have to connect the Freeview receiver to the TV via the TV SCART socket.

Hi, i assume you have the tv on, check the digi box is on and your viewing a channel via the scart lead If you can operate the digi box remote and you can see it responding other than getting the menu on, then it may be a fault with the remote or box.
