loud noise when flushing upstairs toilet?

Hello,when we flush our toilet there is a dreadful noise coming from above,sounds like a cruise ship sounding its horn.

Maybe something to do with pressure i don't know.

Anyone any tips on how i can resolve it?

Hi.

This is probably just the black diaphram washer that needs replacing inside the valve. They tend to get weak with age and just as the valve tries to shut it creates a vibration and the foghorn noise.

Yes I hate it when people do that, probably dirt in valve seat.

Yes. Replace washer first and see if it helps.
