My dad has just had a Vaillant 837 boiler fitted which is working great except for the shower.
At the same time as the boiler was fitted, the old pumped shower was removed and a Mira Infuse 360 fitted.
This was squealing and a check of the pressure at the shower showed 5.6 bar, so a pressure reducing valve was fitted to both the cold and hot feeds to the shower reducing to 3 bar.
The squealing is still there sometimes when you move the thermostat knob of the shower but worse than this if you turn the knob to hot, the flow is low, about 1/3 of the flow when the shower is on cold.
The sink taps in the same shower room are fed from the same supplies and both have good pressure and flow so I presume the thermostatic mixer cartridge is at fault (the shower is brand new)
Any ideas anyone before I call Mira in?
Thanks
