I recently investigated a malfunctioning downlighter. Replacement bulb didn't work and meter only showed 7.5V across the terminals so I pulled the transformer down through the ceiling and found this on the connection from transformer to light fitting.

Any of you experts spot the minor fault that I detected using my extensive diagnostic skills?

This appeared to be one of the pre-wired transformer/fitting combos so would I be right to suspect a dodgy connection as the most likely cause? If so i guess its a lesson to check all connections thoroughly before fitting this type of unit....
