I have two porch lights which do not work.

I have removed the 50w bulb, the housing for the bulb, and I am left with the connecting 12v white cable attached to what appears to be a small black connection which has the leads from the 240v in one end and the 12v cables leading from the other end.

I cannot get my hands into the hole to try and find a transformer, where do I go from here, or is that small black connection a ttransformer!!

It must measure no more than 1.5ins by 1/2ins.

WTF, pray tell, has this got to do with the original query posted SIX YEARS AGO?

BAS.....what happened between Tues Oct 26 2004 at 8.17am and now?

Rather than shoot this guy down like a rabid dog for even mentioning downlights......you offered advice!

I have no idea why this topic is back up here....buts its nice to know you weren't always so cross! :D

Aah, its all becoming clearer.

Perhaps BAS has suffered the loss of his barnet since 2004. The hatred of downlights maybe because he cannot stand the heat on his the bald pate.
