Hi,

I have fitted a macerator in our new en suite. I have followed the manufacturers instructions but it still isn't working properly.

It is a combi type with the shower, basin and toilet all connected to it. If the basin is used it raises the height of the water in the toilet. The macerator only kicks in for a split second when the pan is nearly full.

I'm sure the shower tray would back fill too if it weren't for the NRV fitted to it's waste.

The over-ride button works as it should so I'm assuming the pump and motor are all ok.

There are no long runs of pipework etc and all falls are as per the instructions if not greater.

Any ideas?

TIA.

Sounds like the float level switch which activates the macerator is sticking or defective.
Take it back.
Does it pump if you give it a knock on the side?
