I've used some MDF boards in the construction of shelving and cupboarding (is that a word?) in a pair of alcoves. I now need to fill the gap between boards, and boards and plaster. I'm worried that the moisture in deco caulk will get into the MDF. I've read that 2 part filler would be a good alternative, but - a) I got a lot to do (i.e. expensive) and - b) I need the elasticity in the caulk.
Would it be possible to paint the gaps with MDF primer and then fill after?
Any other suggestions gratefully received. Thanks
