Micron 60FF Boiler being naughty, Help me please!

My Micron 60FF Boiler is coming on for intermittent periods of time then switching off again and has got to the point of only coming on for a few seconds and then cutting out.
My thoughts are its probably the PCB causing this or does anyone know if the air pressure sensor could cause this (it seems to be functioning fine and even with manually overriding it the burner is still cutting out usually within seconds of igniting.
Or does anyone have an idea of overriding it as worried about pipes freezing in this cold snap or my girlfriend leaving me! (Its very hard to get her out of her clothes now!)?

It does get warm when its on for a few minutes and the pump is circulating the water around radiators fine..?

Then IIRC could be PCB or could be another issue which will need a RGI to look at unfortunately.

Hi,
What is an RGI? It is Coming on less than it was and staying on for less time. The heater is set to come on for a few hours in the morning and several in the evening, with a brand new thermostat also in the mix (set to 21C). With the temperature as it is, (low) its basically telling the boiler to come on all the time. This is where the boiler has a mind of its own and its mind has now turned towards only coming on rarely and for short periods (usually only seconds).
I have tried switching it off, reset etc. no change.
I was hoping maybe it was a common fault with this boiler someone recognized and new the fix for without paying a fortune for visits from plumbers. Any ideas that might make a practical difference?

Your problem seems to be gas/combustion related and we dont give DIY advice to anyone about those aspects. In any case there can be many possible problems of that kind.

I did ask you a question on the 30th but you did not reply to it. If you ask for advice its better to reply to any questions we ask you.

The obvious advice is to call a Registered Gas Engineer ( RGI ).

Why do you imagine they charge a fortune? What about dentists and solicitors?

When it cuts out, it just cuts out and does nothing, if you switch it off and back off it may fire again or may not.
I was hoping id be able to buy and new pcb or air relief valve, but may be p1ssing in the wind?

Well I dont know what the issue is related too, so would you recommened calling out a plumber, electrician or gas engineer?

You need a boiler engineer. Thats someone who specialises in boilers and can manage any electrical aspects as well.

An electrician would not normally be gas registered and usually have no idea about boilers.

A plumber is someone who works on plumbing, thats water supplies, drainage, bathrooms, toilets and kitchen plumbing. Some also are gas registered and do a bit of heating work.

It could well be a PCB fault but thats an expensive item to buy if its not the cause.
