Hey guys,

I recently found a lot of mold in my basement. I think I'll have to go get the professionals to help me out but I'm wanting to post on this DIY forum in hopes that someone will be able to help me out. Does anyone have any tips on what I can do to get rid of the mold?

I have been checking out a few pro companies just so I could also get your thoughts on them. My biggest interests so far are: IndoorRestore (indoorrestore.com), There-To-Repair (theretorepair.net), and HomeRight (home-right.net). If you guys have used any of them before, that would be great if you let me know about them or just check them out and tell me what you think. Thanks!

A mixture of 1 part Bleach, a little detergent and 4 parts water will remove it. Be carefull though the airbourne spores can be harmful to your breathing, more so if you suffer from asthma.
It's moisture in the air that produce mold, so you need to reduce that to solve your problem long term, air condition/fan depending on your climate.

You just need adequate ventilation, mold spores only settle where there is damp and poor ventilation.
This is a uk site so unlikely anyone will know the companies you mentioned.
