An armed gang has been jailed for raids on security vans delivering and collecting cash from banks and fast food restaurants across the Midlands.

The three Black Country criminals committed the robberies on G4S Cash Solutions vans in the Telford, Shropshire, Worcestershire, Staffordshire and West Midlands areas, including one where a security courier was struck over the head with a hammer.

Their female accomplice, a former partner of one of the gang, laundered the proceeds from the raids buying a car with some of the proceeds
