There all craapp, dont buy anything that sounds like a washing machine or a french sex aid or ANYTHING from a shed (b&q wickes etc).

Don't buy a gas boiler. Buy oil instead, they're built like tractors and can run on the same fuel, they just don't make anywhere near as much noise. How many oil problems do you see on the forum, and how many gas problems do you see? 'nuff said.

Oilman I wonder if the ratio of gas boilers to oil boilers is a little out of balance

try my part of the uk dp modern gas boilers are crap[domestic]built to a budget with crap electrics as you know, how many modern gas boilers will last 10 maybe 15 years without the owner having to spend a considerable sum in comparison to say a hideaway/551/diplomat/kingfisher/falcon/vcw/dcturbo/need i carry on agreed they may not be enviromentally friendly but they are still chugging away after 20/25 years with a gas valve and a t/c and a few other parts/care

OK then, what is the ratio of gas:eek:il boilers? Then, what's the ratio of gas:eek:il problems on this forum. There is a much greater proportion of gas boiler problems than there are oil.
