I bled my radiators today and found while turning the radiator key they were very stiff to turn and then started leaking not from the hole on the plastic valve but from the silver part attached to the plastic valve. I've managed to contain the leaks but i will never be able to bleed them again until i get them repaired. Any idea of what needs to be done? is it a big job for the professional? Any help will be much apprieciated.

It sounds like the entire fitting started to unscrew instead of just the bleed screw. Tighten the silver part back up with a spanner and next time you try to bleed hold it with a spanner first.
