I have recently had a Neff Gas Hob installed (about 3 weeks ago)

Tonight some of the flames were flickering yellow now and again and the room filled with an odd odour. (It does not smell like pure gas, but does seem a bit fuely)

The smell only seems to occur when the hob is burning. As soon as you switch it off the smell disappears.

Plan to call the plumber (corgi) who installed it in the morning, but do you think this needs immediate attention? i.e Transco call out?

Is it the yellow flickering that is causing the smell?

Thanks

Andy

Stop using it and wait for your Corgi to come. Transco will, at best, do nothing, and at worst they will cut off your gas supply completely. Do you have a carbon monoxide detector?

Probbaly a bit of crap under one of the burners, just play it safe and wait for corgi bloke to come and sort it

Thanks for your advice. Will wait for my plumber to come round tomorrow.

Do not have a Carbon Monoxide tester, but will be getting one tomorrow!
