Hi guys n gals,

Not sure if this one should be in the electrical section, please move if so...

Need to install a new cooker in a Flat, and when ive been to look at buying one today, i became aware of some new rules regarding cookers and installing them in Flats compaired to houses. Not sure what they are tho, it was something the guy at currys told me, was hopeing someone could tell me more and exactly what the situation is.

FYI. There is already a cooker in situ, but it looks like its uncleanable so thought it best to replace. The feed has an independant 4 or 6mm from CU with a (30amp) isolation switch.

Looking forward to your replies

the only change i'm aware of relates to gas appliances needing FSD (flame safety device) to cut gas to burners is supply is interupted, dont think any change relates to electric cookers
