New joists new floor.

Hi, I'm about to replace rotten old down stairs floor. (Joists & planks.)
I'd like to create a hopefully seamless gloss painted floor. At the moment 22mm P5 moisture resistant chipboard t&g seams to be the thing, then painted.
Q. is this a good idea? Is OSB board better?

Also any suggestions on a good paint would be gratefully recieved.

chipboard does have no seems, how ever you cant lift one plank when you need to.

if existing floor is as you say rotten, thequestion is will the new floor go the same way, unless you find the cause

Damp has been addressed, 100 years of no ventilation.

Really just need to know if there is a particular reason against this course of action. Our joists are close together so I recon 22mm board should create a good solid floor. I have been in a place that had OSB painted; could this be better?

How did it look? I would go osb for a floor over chipboard. But why not track down some t&g flooring ply? Or use normal floorboards with a thin layer of ply fixed on top?
