Hello

Have done a search for this already, but wonder if anyone else has any ideas.

We have bought a new steel Ariston bath. It has come without fixing brackets.

A search on this forum came up with gripfill as a solution. However, will this not just attach the bath to the top layer of plaster? Is this a problem?

Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

yes it will only attach it to the plaster & u can use silicone as well. i pressume u will be tiling above the bath so when the tiles have gone off (at least a week) just tweek up the adjustable feet a 1/4 or 1/2 a turn 4 a good tight fit & cut 2 lengths of 2x2 to go under the lip of the bath at the wall side diagonally down to the front of the under side of the bath & screw it 2 the floor.resilicone to tiles & it wont go ay where.

If it`s a solid wall...chop away plaster back to block/brick then gripfill.....always used to chop `em in ;)

Thanks a million for your help.

The gripfill should arrive today - can't believe B&Q doesn't stock it ...
