I have a Hotpoint TCD975 dryer which heats on the low setting, but not at all on the high setting.
I've checked the resistance of the thermistor which is OK, and the two thermostats are shorted at room temperature as expected. There is no 240v across the element on the high setting.
Anyone have an inkling as to the likely source of the problem?
