Hello,

Having just moved in a new house, we have the following:

a) when tap is running, flow of water will be reduced suddenly at times. If we turn the tap further, then flow of water is restored to normal.

b)vibrating noise (few secs) from pipework or radiator in bedroom when hot water tap is turned off in bathroom.

c) ticking noise from behind a wall in another room at regular intervals when heating is on.

We have a combi boiler, 4 bed house.

Any ideas what problems we have?

would have to be there to answer that one but with regards to the flow dropping thats just what combis do if you turn the tap down to next to nothing you can expect the pressure to dip even more but if you have it at a resonable rate the flow should stabalise

Sounds like a problem with the tap, is it just the one or does it do it on all of them. The vibration when the hot is turned off ties in with this. the clicking will be expansion/contraction of pipework.

does it with tap in kitchen and bathroom, both cold and hot but does not do it at all with shower head which always seems fine.
