Noisy shower pump

This is a problem that only happens occasionally, the rest of the time it's as smooth as silk. The problem is, you turn the shower on and the water pressure from the shower seems very jerky, (couldn't think of a better word). The shower pump also sounds as though it's labouring. This goes on for a few minutes and sometimes the pump will make a horrible squealing noise. I usually turn the shower off when this happens. It always seems to sort itself out eventually. but I'm worried the pump could be damaged by this. The pump and shower have only been installed for about two months.

Any ideas on what's causing this noise. Could it be air in the system?

its not good mate check your installation carefully you could be pulling the tank dry

How can it be pulling the tank dry when it's only just been turned on? You can go 24 hours without using the shower and it'll start doing it, so the tank should be full.

Yes, I did fit it myself as per. As I said, it's only an occasional thing so I suppose it may be happening when there's been a drain on the tank from other things, (washing machine, dishwasher etc).

Aren't the washing machine / dishwasher usually connected to the mains kitchen supply, not to the tank ?
