Is there such a thing as a non standard tap valve? I have a dripping tap on my bath mixer tap. It is 28 yrs old. Must be a 3 /4" valve I thought, decided to have new tap heads as well so sent for a tap reviver kit with acrylic heads to match sink taps. Went to fit one on cold side first, easier to do. Valve comes as 1 /2" , too small, put adapter ring on to convert to 3/4" . It was too big! I thought there was only 3 valve sizes. 3/8" " , 1/2" and 3 /4" or am I wrong. Do not want the hastle of changing mixer tap if possible . See photos if any help.
any solution here or am I missing something simple. BS no on old valve is the same for the 1/2" according to instructions on the box new valves and heads came in.
