hello folks.

Sister (yes i know...wont see any money out of this job) has an oil boiler.

She is doing the house up and as part of this they are going to change the boiler.
they have gas up to the house etc.

is oil or gas cheaper per kw?
are boilers similar price ?
Any other considerations ?

they are not set on gas, are trying to move away from having to make the oil level checks, ordering it etc (lazy buggers)

Any comments

As they have natural gas available I would suggest they swap to this.

Gas boilers are smaller, cheaper and quieter. There is also a bigger range to choose from.

If they want to keep oil, then get a wireless tank gauge fitted so they don't have to go outside to check oil level, or get them to sign up to an oil supplier who will make automatic oil deliveries.

no, they seem to want to go to gas....

i was looking for any valid reason to suggest they stay with gas...maybe their is not one.

i looked for £/kw comparison on google but to no avail

anyone got rouigh ideas on price comparison
