Optima 4 Burglar Alarm - Clear NVM

Hi,

I have a Optima 4 burglar alarm system which the previous owners left in my house, but which has the tamper light permanently on.

The guy told me that all the wiring was ok but that the front panel needed replacing.

I had the instructions a while ago to completely reset the alarm unit (including the NVM as I do not have his user codes anyway !) but i cant locate them anymore.

Can anyone help at all ?

Hi, are you sure it is an "optima 4" because i can not find anything on them.

However i did find the optima 2 instructions

"downpower system (mains and battery)
dissconnect all wires from termials 40 & 41
link terminals 40 & 41
re power system
enter customer code (0123)
press and hold tamper spring
press "reset" (panel goes into day mode)
press "prog" enter engineer code (9999)
you can now let go of the tamper switch
remove link from 40 & 41
put lid on & press reset

ADE (who make the optima panel) are now part of MK who are owned by NOVAR (who ever they are)
