Optima Compact won't set

Hi.
I have a very simple setup in a single-room outdoor office which has a normal door and a sliding patio door, both with sensors and a PIR facing the doors.

The doors are set to "timed" and the PIR is set to "inhibit" so if it is tripped without the doors having been opened, it will go off immediately.

My problem is the alarm won't set - i.e. it just keeps on beeping.

I am no alarm expert - this is the first one I've had anything to do with, so would appreciate any help please.

Is it a new installation?

If so, check you have programmed or link out the unused zones. Also check the entry/exit programming (timers and setting modes) to make sure it's not set to infinite exit time or terminated set.

What is displayed on the keypad when it's doing this? Any LEDs lighting up? If so, are they on the zones that the detectors are on?

Yes it is a new installation, and I had not disabled the unused zones !!

All seems perfect now.
