Good afternoon all.

After giving the garden a make over last year I've just started to grow some produce. I've started so far with a few herbs, some carrots and shallots. I've tried to improve the soil by adding lots of organic matter (vegetable peelings etc...) and also some organic soil improver.

I was looking in a local garden centre yesterday at some organic fertilizer. When I looked what was in it it didn't seem too organic to me. I am totally new to this and have no experience whatosever of growing anything, so I may be a bit naive.

I do want to grow things organically and cut out all the chemical crap.

Any pointers on a good genuine organic fertilizer?

yes either horse manure (well rotted) or have a look for any local companies that produce their own. Many take in the green waste from councils and tree surgeons etc and turn it into compost. Your local council may be able to point you in the right direction

Cracking!

I'll have a nose around and see what I can find...
