just listening to Oscar Wilde's grandson commemorating the death of his grandfather a century ago, in particular talking about his (Oscar's) homosexuality.

So, how does that work then?

Well, one partner takes position and the other partner inserts his.....YOU KNOW HOW IT WORKS!!

If you mean if he was gay, how come he has a grandson, well that's easy. He may not have been exclusively homosexual.

Many gay men were married: in the days when it was illegal to be a practising homosexual, it was common for them to marry.

Maybe in the course of his marriage, he had children.

Maybe you could look up Wikipedia:

Christopher Merlin Vyvyan Holland (born 1945, London) is a biographer and editor. He is the son of the author Vyvyan Holland and his second wife, the former Thelma Besant, and is the only grandchild of Oscar Wilde.[1][2] Although he is directly descended from Oscar Wilde, his last name is Holland because Wilde′s wife, Constance, changed her name to Holland, an old family name on her side to avoid shame after Wilde's trial for gross indecency, and subsequent imprisonment and fall from grace.
