Hello,
I’ve read a few other posts about this but it’s silly to assume one solution fits all.
I’m fitting a new Mcalpine p-trap under the kitchen sink but it won’t connect to the sink basket. Mcalpine trap has an angled lip; the very tip (perhaps the first mm) fits inside but then as it widens it won’t go any further. Trying to tighten the plastic nut onto the sink thread just causes the p-trap to skew to one side.
I’ve noticed the old trap didn’t have a tapered end to the pipe like this, so it seems like a different setup.
Is this the sort of thing an EU/UK converter would fix? Such as this one. https://www.screwfix.com/p/mcalpine...l+Content&utm_content=TextLink&utm_term=58258
