I have a concrete garage and the paint was flaking so I removed the lot with a wire brush attachment on an electric drill. When reading the instructions on the Sandtex paint I was going to use to repaint it, it said do not use a wire brush, presumably because particles of iron will contaminate the surface. Does anyone know if there is a way to decontaminate the surface prior to painting? Or a good paint which does not care?
