Painting metal

I have a double glazed porch that is quit old and I think metal coated white rather than upvc,there is a middle 'band' in black that has faded and I want to paint it white to match the porch to make it look fresher.Does anyone know what paint you can use on it to get a smooth finish.

Id go for ordinary il based undercoat and gloss
