I have read the previous couple of threads on painting rads, but, what system is best when a strong colour change is required. This rad has bright pink satin paint which needs to go to white. Thanks again.

Few options really..

Three coats of white gloss...no undercoat..just a wash down first..gloss is more flexible and can withstand the movement when the rad heats up.

Couple of coats of satin finish..or eggshell, which covers better than gloss..and is more flexible than undercoat..

Or..One undercoat and one gloss...but this is debatable...some will say that undercoat is too brittle for a hot surface some wont...in theory its correct but ive never had a problem...er so far.

The self undercoating one coat gloss should be ideal for this. They are a lot thicker than ordinary glosses.
