Hi,

I have an Ideal FF240 combi boiler, which unfortunately doesn't seem to want to light

When I go through the ignition sequence all seems well. I hear the normal woosh sound and the external vent appears to be ok (I can hear the air or gas being expelled as per normal).

Everything seems to be as per normal, except that the pilot light just doesn't come on and hence no heat gets generated.

It's supposed to automatically come on whenever the system kicks in, but it just isn't happening.

Any ideas ?

Many thanks,

Pete

as all the parts that need looked at/cleaned are inside the combustion chamber you will have to get a RGI in to complete repair.
