I have a problem with my boiler, the pilot light has gone on several times in the past (due to the boiler being under the house, i believe it gets blown out in windy weather), this has been fixed simply by pressing the reset button and igniting the pilot light again.
However, the reset button is now stuck and won't reset the system. I can relight the pilot light, but it only stays lit whilst i'm pressing the button, as soon as i take my finger off it goes out again.
I'm afraid i don't know the name of the boiler, but can find out, i suppose i was hoping for some advice if there is something i can do to fix this myself without blowing the house up or calling out an expensive engineer.

I would appreciate any advice you may have.
Thank you.

Yes, the boiler is under the house, you have to climb through a small door to get to it.

I suppose an easier way of saying it, is the boiler is in the basement, beside a door, which means that in extremeley windy weather the pilot light goes out. Does it really matter that its under the house? It does explain why it goes out on occasion, but i don't think it matters now that its not working.

Are you able to help?
