There is another new topic on here but it relates to plastered walls. Didn't want to be accused of hi-jacking so;

What is the BEST method of preparing a bare plasterboard wall for papering.

Read lots on here and opinions differ. Options appear to be;

(1) PVA 5 to 1

(2) A coat of size

(3) Retail Plasterboard sealer

(4) Paint [thinned]

If (3), any ideas which one and, if (4), what painting is necessary [type of paint, number of coats and thinning percentage]

Many Thanks

None of the above due to the very porous surface..

Id go for size then line then paper...lining paper is the best surface to paper on, you could have problems with the joints if you paper straight over plasterboard with a finish paper..id rather be safe than sorry.
