Hi,

Im looking at plastering a plasterboard that has previously been papered straight on to, I have taken the paper of, but in some places i have damaged the surface of the plasterboard, taken the paper off that 2, my question is can i still plaster it,

I would board over but thats not an option because of the door or I thought about replacing it but its a strange honeycomb contruction stud wall, which appears although solid to have very few studs, infact its just a frame!

Advice appreciated

Andy

Where you have damaged the plaster-board if it has exposed the white plaster in the board then you have got to unibond it then put a few pieces of "Scrim tape" over the damaged area and then skim over the top .If the paper is ripped or damaged and not gone thru to the white plaster then just skim over it.....It wont hurt to put scrim tape over that area aswell...
