Hi,

Couple of question re plumbing for water in plastic.

I have seen mention of not mixing parts from different manufacturers when installing in plastic. Is this fact or myth ? I can see the sense in it being preferred.
If fact then, presumably, the pipes are different sizes yes/no ??

Is there much saving in cost between copper and plastic when taking into account a few fittings ?

Thanks,

I have done it and got away with it. The OD of the pipe is the same. You need to use the correct inserts specific to the pipe.

Definitely not preferred practice and to avoided where possible.
