Plug sockets?

Hi
I have just found out that my plug socket downstairs is no longer working. I have one upstairs that doesn't work either. Am I okay to leave them or should I get the electrics as a whole checked out? I am a bit worried that something might be wrong with the whole circuit?

best investigate why they dont work. could be something wrong and can be a fire hazard. have you done nay DIY work recently?

No, we are useless in that area!
I did replace the upstairs one when we moved in and thats when it stopped working!
The one downstairs has only just 'conked out' today.

if the socket are on a ring main, it could be broken in 2 places. left like that it could overload and cause fire. best get someone to investigate why they stopped workin
