Hi,

I have a 15- year old Potterton Profile providing hot water and heating. 4 of us at home. Hot water generally required in the morning and evenings. At the moment the timer is set to heat the water for 2 hours in the morning and 6 hours in the evening. Can anyone recommend whether it might be more fuel-efficient to set the timer to 'continuous' rather than 'twice'? Thanks.

Is ther a hot water cylinder stat fitted to the tank to prevent the boiler from constantly cycling on and off? If not then it's just a waste of energy
