Hi
My 15-year-old Potterton Profile 100e suffered an ingress of rain water, when a rain-hopper high above the flue pipe was blocked with moss, allowing rain to pour down the wall and into the flue pipe.
Most of the circuit board was wet, including the control box, the latter seeming to be the most vulnerable part (No 407677 Control Box). I mopped up most of the water and dried out the rest with a hair-drier, but the boiler still trips the main fuse-board when switched on. The same happens with the fan connections are disconnected, so I know it's not the fan. More like the control box?
Are the gas valves prone to water ingress?
Any suggestions/information about how to proceed would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
