Hi,
I've bought an immersion heater for my Powermax 115 Bolier. This is so that we have hot water when the bolier goes wrong again (which it seems to do on a fairly regular basis).

The procedure in the manual seems fine apart from the last step which says:

"When refilling: check that the secondary expansion vessel precharge
pressure is between 2.5 to 2.7 bar and allow water to flow freely before closing tap(s)."

I know what the secondary expansion vessel is and can see it but how can I tell what the precharge pressure is as it has no gauge or anything on it?

Thanks

Buy a pressure gauge and push it onto the schrader valve!

Car tyre type is ok 2.5 bar is approx 33psi

Thanks Baxpoti,

I didn't even know it had a valve on it but I found that last night and have a foot pump with a guage on and so will do that at the weekend.

Thanks for your help.
