Prima LPR 600 continuous beeping and flashing start light

[Prima LPR 600 - when you shut the door the motor starts and then the machine beeps continuously until you open the door and then the start light is flashing. There doesn't appear to be any pattern of pauses to the flashhing it is regular and constant. It is possible to change the program to any of the other 4 modes but once the door is shut and reopended it is on the rinse light with the start light flashing. Any ideas!
