Hi,

I have been trying to fit a hanging lamp to the ceiling (their is already a wired in perspex rose) but the plasterboard underneath and around the rose has crumbled and i therefore can't screw the lamp through the holes in the rose into the ceiling.

Would be very grateful for any advice or tips on how to sort this out?

Cheers

fit a wooden noggin (cross peice) between the joists drill a hole in it for the wiring and screw everything to that
