Question about plumbing in hot & cold fill washing machi

Hi there, I have moved into a new house and was given my parents old Bosch WF2001 which is a hot and cold fill, but in this new house there is only a cold fill supply. I ordered a Y piece to sort this out but it won't fit due to space constraints. Is it okay to just connect the cold water supply to the cold tap and ignore the hot fill on this model? And if so, where can I buy a plug for the washing machine's hot tap?

You can see if that works.

But if not then I would connect the hot and cold filll solenoids together!

Seems to have done a wash at 30 and nothing has exploded/leaked, which is nice. Will leave it and not do any hotter washes than this, and hope for the best.....
