Can I use the end truss as part of a gable ladder, so the truss forms one side of the ladder?
Or should I construct the ladder from two lengths and then fix to the last truss?

I have seen both when searching but unsure what meets current regs or is best practice.

Thanks

I thought as much, presumably the ladder construction makes the job easier and quicker on a larger roof. Managed to knock this up on sunday, just a few braces left to do.

Don't forget to install ALL the node bracing especially the diagonals, which need to carry all the way down to the plate.

Why did you leave the barge rafters short? Was it your intention to trim the remaining truss ends to suit?
