With a complete new re-wire under the 17th edition regs.

The incoming water and gas need to be earth bonded, but what size is the earth cable meant to be?

I'm sure its meant to be no less than half the size of the incoming live tails?

Can someone confirm?

Protective bonding - minimum of half the size of the main earthing conductor, and not less than 6mm.

For PME, minimum of 10mm (larger sizes required where the neutral is over 35mm)
