Hello, just joined and hoping for some help with a long term problem.

I have a 4 bed detached house that uses an Ideal Classic boiler system (FF250), within the system I have a double radiator in the lounge that 9 times out of 10 will only heat at the top and not the bottom. The only time I seem to be able to heat the large rad is by turning off all the others. Surely this is a problem I can get fixed?

Another issue with the system is the boiler itself. When starting up either central heating or just the hot water the boiler will ignite what looks like half the panel inside and constantly 'click' as if it is trying to ignite the rest of the gas within the boiler.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

You probably have microbore pipes (only 8mm) so a large rad is not going to work properly as there isn't enough flow of water to it
