Hello, I have a CH system employing a mid position valve. When I select only Hot water on the programmer, the radiators are also getting hot. The indicator on the zone valve moves over to the HW position but the pipes either side of the valve get hot. Do you suspect a new valve would be required or do the valves get blocked with sediment & just a thorough clean would sort it. I have not yet dismantled anything 7 thought I'd seek advice before purchasing a new valve.

3 port valve is passing, change the valve body
get a drayton one then you can detach the head if it sticks and free it up with a spanner and if the motor fails you don't have to drain down to change it
