hi,
I want to run a cold water supply to the electric shower, the system is an unvented direct cylinder, can I just tee off the cold supply to it or will it affect the system, what precautions do I need to take as it is under pressure will i have to repressurise the system or will it not affect the central heating? thanks

The supply should come from the mains water.

Often its possible to tee off a supply which goes to the float valve in the loft cistern.

But then, if it's an unvented system, there probably isnt a cistern in the loft
