Re-wiring

I want to rewire a property and, as a fairly experienced person around electrics (although not an electrician), there's a fair amount I am capable of doing.

How likely is it that I'm going to find an electrician who'd be up for letting me do the "donkey" work and him doing all the connecting up and commissioning so I can get the thing certified?

Only answer to this is to ask a few electricians for quotes and explain what you want to do.
You will need their expertise anyway to advise on cable sizes, safe zones, number of circuits etc.
Try to get at least 3 quotes, preferably from other peoples recommendations.
