Hi all,

I'm in the middle of removing my bedroom carpet - underneath are bare boards in a very good condition (hurrah!) I want to paint/stain them a warmish pine colour I think ... but I also want quite a shine/sheen on them - any good products people can recommend please? What brushes etc. should I use?

Thanks all!

Floor paint doesnt come in many shades and is mostly made for concrete floors.

You could primer undercoat and gloss or eggshell it..but youll have to be very careful with the high heels or any kinky foot wear you have because it will mark/chip easily

Another method might be to prime with waterbased primer..emulsion and then give the floor a couple of coats of dulux diamond glaze.

What brushes etc. should I use?

Paint brushes would be my guess... ;)
