Refurbish a kitchen worktop

I have a worktop that I laid using small tiles grouted with epoxy which has lasted (and been extended) for about 25 years. I would like to give it a facelift.

Would it be possible to cover it with a quartz top? I am happy to increase the height by the thickness of the quartz but I do not want to remove the existing top as it is laid on differing types of board and thickness.

I can't see why not so long as everything is level but I would check with an installer of overlay worktops.

If they are to fit, they come and do all the measuring and templating, then fit them in one day.
